Fine fruit and texture. Generous but elegant at the same time. Has the class of top years. A consistent performer.
(From 2006 Vintage) Lovely aromatics of violets, hints of ripe, red berries/cherries. Nice fruit weight with soft, rounded tannins. Not that complex; perfect for early drinking.
92 Wine Advocate ReviewRated 90+This powerful, tannic, dense blue/purple-hued St.-Emilion will handsomely repay those with patience. It offers up a tight but promising nose of smoke, meats, creosote, black currants, blueberries, and cold, wet steel. A masculine, stern effort with a certain austerity, abundant tannin, and superb depth, purity, and richness, it should be at its peak between 2015-2025.
