(From 2012 Vintage) Pilùna, or “tufa pot” in Greek, is the name chosen for the Primitivo, produced from grapes of the native variety of the same name of very ancient origin, known throughout the world by the name of Zinfandel. The bunches are picked by hand very early in the morning when the temperature is cooler. A part of the wine matures for 6 months in French barriques of various toastings, while the rest remains in steel. Dark crimson-red colour, is a wine with body and structure. Full bouquet of ripe red fruits, with notes of pepper and vanilla and hints of Mediterranean scrub. Robust, concentrated, soft but firm flavour.
(From 2013 Vintage) This sample Juicy berry fruit coupled with the notes of licorice on the nose as on the palate pleasing fruity with a silky texture.The dark purple Piluna presents full-bodied and well structured. His expansive bouquet of ripe fruit, pepper and vanilla notes with hints of Mediterranean scrub suits the powerful but soft taste. The final of the Primitivo reminiscent of jam, dark berries and licorice.
