(2008 Vintage) The wonderfully pure, pretty nose of our 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is redolent of warm berry cobbler, with lovely toasted boysenberry and blackberry scents joined by hints of wild cherry, loamy earth and oak vanillin. On the supple, beautifully structured palate, the wine offers rich, vibrant blackberry, plum and black cherry flavors framed by perfectly integrated tannins and a long, savory finish.
Winner of this year's 'Best Merlot' and a Double Gold medal is our 2008 Merlot was named in this year's San Francisco International Wine Competition. Over 4,100 wines from 1,200 wineries from over 29 countries were entered into this prestigious competition.
nice bold cab. could use a few more years to mature and should be allowed to breathe an hour before. good wine to just drink.
hmm this wine is so so ... good taste but I don't like it that much. But this wine is a great value for price om nom nom.
One of our faves. If you can ever get your hands on a Cakebread Rubiyat - grab it.

It exhibits a dense ruby/purple color, stunning purity, subtle notes of smoke, black currants, blackberries, spring flowers and toast, good acidity and ripe tannins. This full-bodied yet graceful, deep, silky Cabernet Sauvignon is already irresistible, but it will provide provocative and complex drinking for 15-20 years. This benchmark winery has again turned out some impressive wines.
