(From 2010 Vintage) Brancaia TRE is a blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The basis for this wine, are the grapes from our three estates: Brancaia (Castellina), Poppi (Radda) and Brancaia in Maremma (Grosseto). The wine ages 12 months in French tonneaux.
87 WS. Blueberry and milk chocolate character, with hints of toasty oak. Medium-bodied, with a solid core of fruit and a medium finish. Slightly bitter. Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best after 2011. 300,000 cases made. -JS
