A wonderful red wine, full-bodied, dry and elegant. It shows Cabernet character in the blackberries, cherries and black currants, but that's balanced with an earthiness and minerality and even some smoked meat notes that must come from a percentage of Syrah and Petite Sirah.
(From 2000 Vintage) This velvety-soft red wine is a result of delicately blending a small amount of syrah. This gives this organically grown cabernet a complex structure of cherry and black pepper balanced by the toasty vanilla-spice from the new French and American oak.
made from organic grapes. spicy/peppery. fairly light for a cab, fruit forward but with a dry finish on the back of the mouth.
hints of pepper, vanilla spice, & rich berry plum.
Dark and supple, delicious and a bit smokey.

Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(From 2006 Vintage) 6% Syrah; 5% Petite Sirah; 5% Malbec. Its somewhat unusual cepage notwithstanding, this wine presents a direct, reasonably well-focused look at Cabernet Sauvignon, and while it may not challenge its pricier peers for size and long-term potential, it does put most wines in its price bracket to shame. It is balanced and agreeably supple in feel and follows with a mid-depth blend of ripe cherry and light oaky flavors. It is the best bargain in this Issue. GOOD VALUE
