We select the best grape and obtain the best wine after a painstaking process, producing long-lasting wines, in which the aromas and taste of ripe fruit mix together with balsamic sensations. Because of the necessary demands of quality in the production of these wines, there are years that are not suitable for obtaining a Gran Reserva. They are aged for a minimum of two years in oak casks and three years in bottles. The casks used at Beronia are manufactured from a mixture of French and American oaks.
Robert ParkerVery classic with the notes from the ageing in American oak barrels, the 2008 Gran Reserva displayed aromas of coconut, vanilla, leather, cherries and balsamic woods with a lactic touch. The palate feels very polished, with some balsamic flavors akin to incense and cigar ash, and resolved tannins. 72,000 bottles produced.
