Winemaker's Notes

(From 2003 Vintage) "Almost always distinctive, and this year has unusual flair and finesse. Shows a Chablisian style of mineral, warm stone, and citrus, but with far richer streaks, like gold embedded in flint. Oak and lees are elegantly applied. More foodworthy than most California Chards."-Wine Enthusiast The aromas are led by apple blossom, pear and pineapple laced with hints of clove, honey and vanilla. In the mouth the fruit is perfectly balanced with acidity leading to a focused, lengthy and elegant finish.
