(2013 Vintage) The color of this wine is a grayish straw color. Gris is French for gray because the grapes are grayish in color. Not the prettiest of the Pinot family, but they sure taste good. 2015 was a warm year so we had full flavor and aroma development. Aromas of honey and honeysuckle blossoms jump out of the glass followed by other floral notes, mango and citrus. On the palate the wine is crisp and well balanced. You get a burst of honeydew melon then lemon, grapefruit and a little fig. The wine will shine with Pacific Northwest oysters and pasta with clams in butter lemon broth. I will have great memories of enjoying a glass while sailing on Fern Ridge Reservoir.
