(From 2010 Vintage) Ruby red in colour, the 2010 Pèppoli is characterized by notes of cherry fruit well amalgamated with chocolate and vanilla from the oak aging. On the palate the wine shows much Sangiovese character with soft an silky tannins and a good persistence on the finish.
Nice chianti here by one of the original families that brought Chianti to the masses as i understand it...agree with other notes. Nice light to medium bodied, lots of bright fruit and light acid and tannins such that this is easy drinking solo or with variety of foods. Nice finish of a little smokey tobacco and hint of the oak.
