(2002 Vintage) "The '02 ups it another notch from the juicy, spicy 2001. Here again are beguiling aromas of plum, cherry, dust and cocoa; a chewy, ripe fruit core, and a dense finish that runs from citrus to coffee, with everthing in between."- Wine Enthusiast
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2003 Vintage) Slightly brushy, mildly gamy and hinting at a bit of leather in the nose, this bottling is lush and rounded in feel, yet its flavors are a touch watery even if its texture is not. Its hold on fruit is a bit loose, and there is not a lot here to suggest that cellaring will bring any remarkable growth.
