(2012 Vintage) Our Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon is ruby in color and displays aromas of black cherry, plum and violets. Ripe flavors of blackberries and raspberries combined with hints of savory spices coat the palate. The soft tannins and sweet oak balance lead to a long and lingering finish.
Deep red with negligible color variation at rim. Opens to heady oak which quickly vanished, leaving classic Cabernet Sauvignon nose of blackberry and cassis. Flavors of the same with medium acids and tannins. The sugars seem syrupy and cloying and this overpowered filet mignon and mushrooms. Try with a pepper sauce or lamb with rosemary. Serviceable Napa Cab but would not repurchase.
