Bright ruby-red. Aromas of plum, minerals, graphite, licorice and mint. Big and rich but firmly structured and tight. Bright acidity--and a smaller percentage of merlot than usual--give this Bordeaux blend a youthful toughness. Finishes savory, solidly tannic and long.
winemaker's fav, most difficult to make. 93 pts me- very cab franc or carmenere like in its green streak to the fruit flavor. densely colored. more density than Bordeaux in color and palate. didn't notice the oak it was so well integrated. great sale buy. will keep 5+ yrs easy.
