Winemaking: The grapes are sourced from our Arcangel Estate located at the very West of Colchagua valley. With only 11 miles (18 Kms) from the Pacific Ocean, the relatively cold climate allows us to ripe the grapes slowly and smoothly, reaching full maturation and fruit expression. The soil profile is on majority clay that provides strength and power to the wine. The grapes are handpicked using small bins in order to keep the grapes is perfect conditions before reaching the winemaking process and then macerated at low temperatures (48°F / 9°C) for 7 days before fermentation. The fermentation process last 10 days, period on which few pump over process are made in order to obtain color and soft tannins. Once the fermentation process is finished, the wine is moved to French oak barrels (new and used) where it is kept for 12 months.
