Characteristic of previous vintages, this wine exhibits our signature bright aromatics, supple fruit, soft mouth feel, and racy acidity. The difference is in the texture and exotic fruit component of this vintage. The 2007 Sauvignon Blanc contains nearly 30 percent of the “Musque” clone of Sauvignon Blanc from Grandma’s block. This clone is believed to be a hybrid of Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat. Some believe that many of the famous Sauternes wines are derived from this particular clone. The Musque clone produces wines with amazing mouth feel and complex fruit aromas yet retains the crisp acidity of traditional Sauvignon Blanc. Enjoy this wine with light appetizers, salads, and even heavier seafood entrees (hide)

  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
(2007 Vintage) Although it starts out with a faint matchsticky note in the nose, this clean and energetic young wine stands in stark contrast to its older mate, and it delivers a good measure of fresh and well-focused, slightly weedy varietal fruit. Medium-bodied, balanced to crispness and just touch coarse at the finish, it will match up well with simply broiled fish.
  • Ken's Wine Guide
(2004 Vintage) This wine is made in 100% stainless. It possesses a very mild bouquet. On the palate, the wine has some nice citrus flavors that explode on the palate. The finish is quite refreshing. Enjoy – Ken
  • Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines
(2005 Vintage) Unavoidable matchsticky smells draw attention away from more positive elements of youthful, nectarine-like fruit and a touch of varietal herbs in the nose, and the wine follows with modest, lightly grassy fruit flavors that gradually give ground to chemical heat at the finish.
