(From 2014 Vintage) The vineyards of the red Côtes du Rhône “Belleruche” covers 4 departments (Drôme, Vaucluse, Gard and Ardèche) on different soils (clay and calcareous alluvial deposit terraces, clay…) giving to the “Belleruche” an extraordinary richness and complexity.
This Rhone blend is exhibits black currant fruit medium-body good purity mild tannins and a vivacious exuberant personality.
Good. Wonderful herbal and fruit nose. Smooth wine with a medium finish. It lacks the spice and herbal punch of many Rhone GSM's, but it is an easy drink big time butter bread and oak with minor fruitiness on the nose. some light fruit on the palette followed by lots of oak and acid, a very spicy wine. it finished with some nice tannins and some stinky earth. old world style, probably not the wine for the new world fruit bombie people. i liked this wine. the color was nice and dark and the price was right at 11.00. the longer it sat the more the alcohol toned down.
RP 89 spicy upfront typical rhone taste with berries spice olive, and herbs. better after day 2
had with dinner. smoth, semi dry, slightly fruity, excellent nose.
