(From 2011 Vintage) Vinification: The bunches were carefully destemmed and left to macerate for a short period. Next, the fruit was soft crushed. The must obtained was then allowed to settle. The now-clarified must fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks, where it matured for about six months.
Ageing: After fermentation, the wine was left on the lees in the stainless steel containers for six months. Bottling took place in March 2004. The bottled wine was aged in temperature-controlled binning cellars for a minimum of two months.
This white wine has a brilliant color of yellow with golden highlights. Its aroma is clean and crisp with fruit concentration ranging from tropical to apricot and orange peel, underlined by delicate floral notes. The palate is intense and full-bodied with balanced acidity, harmonious fruit and spice components.
Wine & SpiritsGood medium straw-yellow with pink highlights. Perfumed, fruit-driven aromas of ripe apple, tangerine and pear liqueur lifted by dried flowers and baking spices. Intensely fruity on the palate, offering very ripe tangerine, pineapple and pear flavors complicated by a suggestion of sage. Finishes very long and pure. The best-balanced pinot grigio by Felluga in years, and deceptively concentrated in its lightweight, high-acid frame.
