(From 2011 Vintage) Thea’s Selection is the measuring stick of our success as growers and winemakers. A blend from blocks in each of our vineyards, Thea’s expresses the vintage, our intentions and our efforts perhaps more than any other. The earthy nose of the 2011 Thea’s shows fruit cake, black cherry and buttered rye bread, while expressing fennel and spice in a lovely, delicate way. The wine’s medium body centers around cranberry, black cherry and resonant spice that lead to a long, savory finish. We are pleased with the textural silk and finesse of this wine.
Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar Vivid red. Lively aromas of redcurrant and wild strawberry, with complicating notes of musky herbs and spices. Tangy, finely etched red berry flavors show moderate concentration but possess good focus. Drinking well now. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: 87 points, Wine Spectator: 87 points
