A dense and finely structured wine that exhibits blackberry, turkish delight, red currant and spearmint with hints of dark toasted spices and aniseed. Intense flavors of ripe blackberries and clove mix with notes of maple syrup and mint.
The 2007 Henry's Drive Shiraz was aged for 16 months in 35% new French and American oak. It sports an exemplary bouquet of bacon, game, incense, lavender, and blueberry leading to a forward, sweetly fruited, pleasure-bent wine that will drink nicely over the next 6-8 years.
