Winemaker's Notes

Wine Spectator Review Rated 93 Polished, round and focused, shining its blackberry, cherry, chocolate and cream flavors through the fine tannins to let them glow on the long, vivid finish. Best from 2011 through 2020. James Halliday Wine Review Rated 94 Against all the odds, has some spicy/savoury aromas expected from a cool vintage, not a hot one; supple, juicy black fruits and licorice on the palate follow down a similar path, fine tannin to close. Drink: to 2017. Drink: to 2017. Wine Tasting Notes Our Shiraz is a very, focused classy and beautifully structured wine. True to its variety, the wine is deep, black and brooding in color. The nose shows bright fresh aromas of blackberry, licorice and spice. We have purposely kept the new oak component at a minimum to allow the vibrant fruit characters of the vintage to elevate. We especially love the palate of this wine, particularly the warmth, length and velvety silkiness it delivers. This is an awesome, delicious wine that we are very proud of. Enjoy! (hide)
