Wine Description

(From 2012 Vintage) Aroma: Apricot, peach, ripe melon, guava, pear, orange, pineapple, pink grapefruit, yellow bell pepper, oak. Palate: Grapefruit, apple, melon, citrus, lemon grass, pepper, grassy, chewy, bold, great acidity & minerality, well balanced. Finish: Hint of grapefruit, lemon pie, passion fruit, strawberry, spice, tart, dry, crisp, well done, beautiful.

Winemaker's Notes

(From 2011 Vintage) Pale yellow. Orange blossom, grapefruit pith, nettles, white pepper and a pungent whiff of herbs. Brisk, lemony and penetrating, but with a leesy hint and saline minerality giving surprising pliancy to the middle palate. Finishes quite dry, with firm citrus zest and mineral notes.

    (From 2005 Vintage) Here is a big, potent Fume that is rife with both very deep fruit and loads of varietal herbs, and its generous mix of melons and grass is framed with very evident oak. Full and close to oily in feel, it has the weight and richness of Chardonnay but is solidly and unmistakably Sauvignon Blanc from beginning to end.
