(2004 Vintage) Grenache from the Glenrose Vineyard is a principal component of our Rhone Style Red blend. In 2004 we identified a special lot and made this our first ever varietal Grenache Noir bottling. Incredibly perfumed, it exudes complex aromatics of bright red fruits that explode in the glass (an ideal candidate for decanting). The palate delivers equally intense flavors of loganberries, raspberries and pomegranates, with hints of anise and cumin. A long, silky finish with good tannin structure enhances this remarkably full bodied Grenache. Drink now through 2009. (175 cases)
Wine Spectator"A stylish wine that's well-structured and concentrated, slow to unveil its mix of dried currant, blackberry and black licorice, gaining depth and complexity. Yet for all its glimpses of depth and nuance, this needs time. Best from 2012 through 2021. 973 cases made."
