(From 2013 Vintage) Siena has delicious aromas and flavors of fresh-picked blackberries, cola, cinnamon, cherry pie and vanilla bean. Sweet oak notes of spice, roasted marshmallow, caramel and vanilla complement lingering, bright red and black berries. Siena has tannins that are soft, harmonious and mouth coating with lovely viscosity, depth and a tremendous finish.
(From 1998 Vintage) Siena reflects Ferrari-Caranos Italian heritage: it is a Sangiovese-based red wine, created from grapes of Tuscan orgin and combined with prized Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon. Siena is deep ruby in color with rich raspberry and plum aromas and flavors. It has the brightness and youthfulness of Sangiovese, partnered with the deeper structure of blackberry fruits and cedar notes Cabernet Sauvignon.
Sangiovese, Malbec, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon. Bought in '09 and the wine was too young. Drank again in aug '14 and it is getting ready.
Blueberry and raspberry on the nose. Hints of carmel on the finish. Perhaps, a little young still -- the finish was a little short.
