(2013 Vintage) The 2014 Carneros Estate Pinot Noir intrigues with its rich array of red cherry, wild strawberry, pomegranate raspberry and spice. The core of red fruit is made complex with layers of sassafras, sandalwood and baking spice that build in intensity through the finish. With an opulent mouthfeel and ideal natural acidity, the wine has significant substance and depth, yet stays lively and lifting throughout.
nose of bright red fruits. Light in color and a bit zippy with a finish that is too warm and washed out the midpalate. Overcooked-- 2nd bottle confirmed it. Felt like 14.4% on bottle was on low side.
delicious. great to drink alone or with light food. staying power. light body. bit of fruit. just phenomenal.
