(From 2001 Vintage) The combination of lush melon and crisp citrus flavors in this Sauvignon Blanc results from careful choices made in both viticulture and winemaking.Following the September harvest, the wine was separated into two lots. Sixty percent was put into barrel for fermentation and six months sur lie. The remaining forty percent was racked to stainless steel vats, where it was fermented at cool temperatures, retaining much of this varietal's assertive lemongrass and fruit tart components.
