2007 Duckhorn Estate Grown Merlot Stout Vineyard

Winemaker's Notes

This is a beautiful expression of mountain-grown Merlot from a great single site, highlighting the firm, ripe tannins, intensity and deep, red-fruit elements that define Stout Vineyard. The aromas are opulent and concentrated with layers of red cherry, red currant, black licorice, allspice, olives and beef bouillon. On the palate, the wine is supple and compelling, with the ripe tannins and seamlessly integrated oak complementing and adding structure to flavors of raspberry, rhubarb, cranberry, walnut and cedar.
