Wine Description

(From 2013 Vintage) With beautiful fruit flavors, crisp acidity and an elegant finish. It offers inviting citrus aromas and flavors of ripe apricot.

Winemaker's Notes

(From «nv» Vintage) Kudos to Ste. Michelle for accurately labeling this wine, and also for the Riesling sweetness scale on the back of all their Rieslings. Firm Yakima Valley fruit is the backbone here, tart and spicy, with bright flavors of pear and apple. A juicy, palate-cleansing style.

Smells like granny smith apple, also some pear and citrus. Wet rock. Tastes like green apple (tart), pineapple, some vanilla and mineral. Fruit but not too sweet.

If forced to choose at the moment between this bottling and its sibling from 2006, we would pick the latter but only because this one seems held back a bit and bound by a certain youthful restraint. As dry as its mate and a touch wiry just now, it teases with a spry streak of citrusy fruit and might well emerge as the favored wine if set aside for another twelve months. GOOD VALUE
