The entire vineyard consists of several parcels of vines on a gravels of the Quaternary plateau. The grape varieties of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Cru Bourgeois classification since 2003, the vineyards of Château Mongravey lie between the prestigious Grands Crus classified 1855 Margaux. Castle Mongravey produces wines with finesse typical of the Margaux appellation which accord with nobility in the most subtle cuisine.
