Chateau Cos d'Estournel Saint-Estèphe 2ème Grand Cru Classé

Wine Description

(2007 Vintage) Dense, old vine flavors of cassis and black fruit offset by refined mineral, liquorice and tobacco notes lead into this wine's layered, complex palate which is supported by a firm, focused backbone of sweet, ripe tannins and an elegant, balanced acidity on the extended finish.

(2007 Vintage) With its perfumed aromas, this is a wine that has richness and sweetness, with soft velvet power. It has an intense wood element that needs to blend into the rest of the wine, but the sweet black currant and freshness provide a good balance. This is a seductive wine, with a fine solid character.

(2004 Vintage) "Loads of currant and blackberry, with hints of Indian spices. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, caressing finish. Round and generous for the vintage. Best after 2011. 15,000 cases made."
