Bonterra Cabernet Sauvignon

Wine Details

Wine Description

(2012 Vintage) As with all Bonterra wines, this one is well-mannered and balanced. The fruit is reminiscent of ripe plum and tart black currant, accented with a hint of toast and green olive. On the palate the texture is soft, the tannins firm but integrated, and the finish is dry and of moderate length.

(2006 Vintage) 6% Syrah; 5% Petite Sirah; 5% Malbec. Its somewhat unusual cepage notwithstanding, this wine presents a direct, reasonably well-focused look at Cabernet Sauvignon, and while it may not challenge its pricier peers for size and long-term potential, it does put most wines in its price bracket to shame. It is balanced and agreeably supple in feel and follows with a mid-depth blend of ripe cherry and light oaky flavors. It is the best bargain in this Issue. GOOD VALUE
