(2006 Vintage) Knights Valley is a very special place for us at Beringer. As you drive over the mountain from St. Helena, the valley opens up before your eyes and you immediately feel transported to another time, where things are slower and more rustic. I always hope to do justice to the vineyard with this wine and I believe the 2006 has done so – it delivers great complexity and depth while still retaining a rough-hewn charm. It has a nice acidity, rich tannins, and a solid concentration of fruit.
The wine that made Knights Valley famous. This has been even better in recent vintages than when it began, yet it has consistently shown a ripe, soft, appealing style. -Astorwines.com
Musty nose initially but smooth and fine taste & finish. Very nice! Lorraine did not like it so much after a few sips. She gave it a 3. 14.3% Alc.
