Winemaker's Notes

It would have been hard to have planned a more perfect Barossa Valley vintage than 2006. After a wet Spring by early summer the vines were healthy and strong, and set good conservative crops. Warm days but a lack of any heat spikes in February, combined with cool nights meant that the vines, under no stress, accumulated sugars and flavours quickly. This wine is a lively purple red in colour. The aroma is floral - rose petals and raspberries with a hint of nutmeg.
