(From 2009 Vintage) Aromas of violets, black cherry, blue plums, kirsch, damp turned earth, mushroom, toast and exotic spices (cardamom-savory/floral). It shows dark fruit flavors on the palate (black cherry, plum, kirsch, licorice, anise, hint of orange peel). Medium body and tannins, elegant structure- powerful, yet restrained. Persistent finish.
Wine & SpiritsRating: 93/100 - As reviewed by Wine & Spirits Magazine on 04/09. This generous Dundee Hills pinot starts out floral and delicate, with scents of cherry blossom and plum. With air the flavors gain a savory umami character, its texture quietly persistent, its graceful finish drawing back into lasting flavors of dark red fruit.
