(2012 Vintage) This ARTEMIS Cabernet Sauvignon opens with intriguing plum, ripe fig and allspice aromas. On the palate, the wine offers flavors of ripe blackberry, chocolate-covered cherry and hints of cedar. There’s a nice palate weight and texture with ample, yet fine-grained tannins and a soft finish.
It's so good you'll have to kill yourself afterwords. It's too amazing to live.
Tasted and bougt 06-08 vertical at winery. Excellent and for special occasions.

Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2005 Vintage) Almost sure to raise controversy with its involving aromas of leather, roasted coffee, scorched chocolate and herbs, this unique offering smacks ever so faintly of Syrah and may not fit the fruity Cabernet model, but its complexity is beyond any argument. A few years of age should make a good thing better, and it h...
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2003 Vintage) There is no shortfall of richness to this very solid, handsomely oaked wine, and it exhibits fine concentration and overall balance. It is not, at this point at least, quite so complex or as well-polished as it sibling above, and it finishes a bit on the dry side with pushy tannins limiting its commendable fruit. If its need for aging is clear, it is never so tough as to need extended time in the cellar, and we would tag it for drinking after some four or five years.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2002 Vintage) 11% Merlot; 8% Cabernet Franc; 4% Malbec; 2% Petit Verdot. The most complex of the Stag's Leap lot, this fascinating effort is simply brimming with ripe cherries and very rich oak and shows intriguing touches of leather, coffee, cocoa and caramel throughout its length. It is fairly full and broad on the palate with fine balance and a mannerly, well-polished feel, and, if a slight touch of last-minute tannin jumps up at its finish, there is no doubt that a few years in bottle with smooth things ou...
