(From 2009 Vintage) Only the finest, hand-harvested grapes from the Lodola Nuova Estate in the Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG are used to produce this wine. In 2004, the estate was updated with a spacious new winemaking and aging cellar constructed according to gravity-flow principles. This decreases the stress on the grapes during winemaking and preserves the natural aromas of the berries. After fermentation, additional contact with the grape skins continues for seven days to add intense color and fruit flavors, followed by malolactic fermentation for a lusciously smooth texture. Lodola Nuova then ages in oak for 18 months.
