Connoisseurs' Guide to California WinesAlthough this wine sends slightly mixed messages with its rich, but slightly diffuse mix of ripe blackberries and stavey oak spice in the nose, it is focused and very solid once in the mouth with well-defined varietal fruit leading the way.
