(2010 Vintage) Our 2010 Garys' Vineyard Pinot Noir's deep ruby color is reflected in the complex nose of licorice, black raspberries and dark fruits. The powerful palate of plums, currants and toasty oak gives way to tight finish that opens with air.
Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2006 Vintage) One could argue that there is a little more toasty pungency than is needed in this wine's moderately intense nose, but there is no disputing that there is also plenty of very deep fruit at work as well. Fleshy and full on the palate and so fruity in flavor that its trim of toast becomes a faint afterthought, the wine shows fine length and balance with a good chance for a few further years of improvement.
