(2009 Vintage) The Chryseia 2009 was made from a judicious selection of grapes chosen from Prats and Symington's own prime vineyards of Quinta de Roriz and Quinta de Perdix. The Quinta de Vila Velha vineyard, privately owned by a member of the Symington family, and which borders Roriz, also made a contribution as it has done in every preceding Chryseia wine.

Very intense youthful colour. Red fruit and discreet wood on the nose. In the mouth the wine shows good acidity, with fresh tannins. Good aging potential derived from a solid structure and body. Excellent balance. Supple, tender finish with well integrated tannins. A rich, complete and wellbred wine.
Wine Spectator(2014 Vintage) A powerful and concentrated red, featuring kirsch, red plum and baker's chocolate notes, balanced by tarragon, slate and violet details. Elegant, with supple tannins framing the long finish, which is laced with hot stone, olive and licorice accents. Drink now through 2023. 2,000 cases made.–GS
