(2012 Vintage) Bright gold in color. Intense aromas of honeysuckle, bee pollen and apricot nectar are lightly tinged with sea salt and interwoven with notes of baked graham cracker. The ultra plush mouthfeel has light tones of honeycomb and juicy summer fruits reminiscent of Crane melon and grilled peach, yet retains an austerity driven by the bright acidity characteristic of this vintage. The long finish lingers with flavors of freshly baked bread, cold winter smoke and clean wet stone.
maybe it is party time and place... with rainbow trout caught on the White River near Meeker CO, this rich, complex beauty had a wonderful balance between the usually overweight overoaked California style and the more refreshing and appealing cool climate Chards. I had to call it a 5. we found this at Apple Jack's in Denver. go get some!

Wine Advocate(2009 Vintage) Consistently one of the top Chardonnays in California, Pahlmeyer’s 2009 exhibits an impressive, thick-looking, light gold color with green hues. Loads of peach, creme brulee, honeysuckle, and subtle oak are present in this full-bodied, well-endowed, pedal-to-the-metal style of Chardonnay that will appeal to those who like white Burgundy, but with additional richness. Given its track record, expect this wine to age nicely for 5-6 years.
Wine Spectator(2009 Vintage) Offers an exciting mix of flavors built around roasted marshmallow, honeysuckle, citrus and melon, ending with a rich, spicy aftertaste. Intense, focused, long and complex. Drink now through 2017. –JL
