(2002 Vintage) Our 2002 Hudson Vineyard Syrah is the star of the show. This year, the hundreds of variables that regularly go into the creation of a wine fell into place at Lee Hudson’s vineyard. Warm, mild weather at harvest allowed for leisurely picking, giving ample time for both ripening of the grapes and (of equal importance to our practice of stem retention) ‘ripening’ or browning of the stems.
