(1996 Vintage) The 1996 Crozes-Hermitage La Petite Ruche, which is aged completely in cuve, displays a deep ruby/purple color, followed by a gorgeous nose of blackberry/cassis, fine acidity and gobs of ripe fruit in a medium bodied format. Drink over the next 13-14 years.

    Bright ruby. Fresh cherry and cassis on the nose, with a dark chocolate quality adding depth. Bitter cherry and licorice flavors are youthfully firm, with dusty tannins accentuating the solid character. Hard to judge today.
