(From 2011 Vintage) Good bright ruby. Lively aromas of cassis and blueberry, complemented by a subtle hint of smoky minerality. Sweet, supple and rich, with good depth to its dark berry, chocolate and mocha flavors. The firm finish features ripe tannins and strong lingering fruit. This attractive wine conveys an impression of a bit of residual sugar.
(From 2008 Vintage) The 2008 Cocina Malbec spent 10 months in 20% new French and American oak. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it has a perfume of cedar, spice box, lavender, and black cherry. This is followed by a medium-bodied Malbec with an elegant personality. It has a silky texture, ripe flavors, good density and grip, and a lengthy finish.
