Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2006 Vintage) 48% Cabernet Sauvignon; 48% Merlot; 4% Cabernet Franc. Smells of black cherries, raspberries, pencil shavings and a hint of wet clay may make for an intriguing start here, but, once in the mouth, the wine proves to be a bit limp and underfilled at its heart with an odd streak of slightly souring acidity bringing up the rear.
