(From 2008 Vintage) Devil’s Inkstand takes its name from one particularly intriguing spring with notably steep sides and great depth causing the water within to appear black as ink. With this bottling we pay tribute to the geologic forces that created the superb soils here in which we grow grapes and make unparalleled wines
(From 2010 Vintage) The fragrant fruit aromatics are suggestive of raspberry and plum while complexing notes of French roast coffee and bittersweet cocoa powder add another layer of interest. The palate is medium-bodied and delivers a riot of tangy red fruit framed by soft tannins. Hints of both cola and roasted almond lend weight and dimension to the abundant fruit, making this wine a great partner to roasted meats and vegetables or back yard BBQ fare.
