(From 2011 Vintage) The wine shows an enticing transparent brick color. Aromas of rose pedals, cranberry, strawberry, and assorted herbs translate into a palate very consistent with those aromas, with clean acidity and none of the banana meets bubble gum flavors of some regional Beaujolais. This is on the flowery and feminine end of the Cru Village level. A very pretty yet serious tasting wine, and well worth the trip for this kind of money. Pair with simple turkey or pork dishes.
Wine & SpiritsViolets, roses, and black cherries can be detected in the demure aromas of the 2003 Fleurie Domaine des Quatre Vents. This medium-bodied offering seductively bastes the palate with copious quantities of black cherries, blackberries, cassis, and spices. Seamless, fresh, rich, and concentrated, it is a velvety-textured wine armed with outstanding depth and concentration. Projected maturity: 2005-2012.
