Gary Farrell Sauvignon Blanc Redwood Ranch

Wine Details

Wine Description

(2006 Vintage) The 2006 Sauvignon Blanc shows bright, forward aromas of ripe grapefruit, citrus zest and gooseberry. Flavors mirror the aromas, which are enhanced with hints of white peach, apricot, and honeydew. A heavenly mouthfeel follows, with a lingering crisp, refreshing finish. While an ideal companion to cheese plates, shellfish, and cold vegetables, this Sauvignon Blanc will also stand up to rich, spicy Thai and fish dishes.

(2005 Vintage) As so capably demonstrated in both its very deep and carefully composed aromas and flavors of minerals, green melons, and fresh grass, this refined and keenly balanced, medium-full-bodied Sauvignon Blanc proves that restraint and complexity need not be mutually exclusive. The wine has plenty of palatal weight but is always lively and light on its feet, and it is so very well-balanced that it will keep for a number of years and might even improve for a few.
