(From 2009 Vintage) The grapes for West Face are grown on the steep slopes of our LookOut Mountain in Alexander Valley. Dark, lush aromas of boysenberry cobbler, earth, licorice, and cola are surrounded by flavors of jammy sweet blackberry, molasses, clove and brown sugar. West Faces full-bodied, exquisite depth and lingering, round tannins provide textural proof of this wines ageability.
Dark, concentrated aromas of blackberry syrup, baking spices and toasted oak surround flavors of warm berry pie, butterscotch and milk chocolate. Opulent roasted, caramel oak flavors come through with plentiful, silky tannins providing textural proof of this wine’s ageability.
