Wine Description
"A reserved yet elegant nose of white flower, green apple, pear andnatural spice and wet stone notes introduce detailed, fresh and wonderfullyintense flavors that are exceptionally clean and bright, culminating in a bonedry finish replete with superb minerality. This is not overly dense, particularly compared to the thick and opulent '03 yet the balance is nearperfect and if it adds complexity during the rest of its élevage, itshould merit the upper end of the range. Moreover, it's sufficiently structuredthat it will need the better part of a decade to reach its apogee"

Wine & SpiritsRating: 93/100 - As reviewed by Wine & Spirits Magazine on 04/09. This domaine encompasses 27 contiguous acres on the Corton hill, most of it planted to chardonnay. The 2005 is a sophisticated expression of the terroir, with layers of flavor underlain by mineral intensity. There's a wheat sheaf scent and a hint of honey, though the wine is not at all sweet. Densely concentrated, tightly structured and graceful in the end, this needs a decade of bottle age to show its potential, and should evolve for years thereafter.
