Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wines(2005 Vintage) Elements of ripe apples and green are overlain in the nose by a blanket of rich oak, and the promise of substance is met by the wine's ample flavors. Fairly ripe, a tad ragged and showing a bit of last-minute heat, the wine has the fruit to ensure a few years of age, and aging is recommended as there is still knitting and softening to be done here.
