Bright, dark and deep red. The dark colour sets the tone for the flavours that are as black as night: dark cherry pits, dark berries, a lasting smoky yet rich black-tar. Though tannic now, this wine should evolve. Theres already some complexity beginning to develop out of its firm, quiet supple core.
Wine & Spirits(2011 Vintage) "The crunchy red fruit comes first, but there’s enough tannin power in this merlot to make it more than just refreshing. There’s structure for a steak, and enough acidity to cut the fat from anything off the grill."
