Percentage Grape: 97% Merlot and 3% of the two Cabernets

Soil: 7.5-ha vineyard, 40% in sandy soils north of La Gomerie, 60% in clay and limestone soils east of St. Emilion (next to Valandraud and Fleur Cardinale); 6,600 vines/ha. Average age is 41 years.

Date of Harvest: between Sept. 25th and 30th

Type of Harvest: hand-harvested

Vinification Method: Table-sorted before and after destemming; uncrushed, whole berries are then poured into 13 tiny Taransaud open-top tanks of 10, 20, and 30 read more...hls. 32-day maceration at 30° C.
